Sara Shojaei is a Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she has been conducting research since August 2023 focusing on computer vision, particularly in the areas of image segmentation, change detection, and pattern recognition using deep learning. She is passionate about developing robust and efficient algorithms for understanding visual data, with applications in remote sensing and real-world scene analysis. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, where she began exploring machine learning and data-driven methods. Her work blends academic knowledge with hands-on experience, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical advancements and practical solutions in computer vision.
